Is Pax Autocratica on Nintendo Switch?
Pax Autocratica is not on Switch. Here is what the developer has said, what the PC requirements suggest about a port, and what handheld options exist today.

No. Pax Autocratica is not on Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, and no Nintendo version has been announced. It is a Windows PC exclusive sold only on Steam.
Has Multiverse said anything about Switch?
No. Consoles of any kind have never appeared in the developer's announcements, and there have been around thirty of them since January 2026.
No announced version is not the same as ruled out — but there is nothing to point at here, not even a "maybe someday".
Could the hardware even run it?
This is the question worth actually thinking about, and it is where Switch differs from PS5 and Xbox. Those two are broadly PC-class machines; Switch is not.
Here is what the PC version asks for, from the Steam store page:
| Minimum | Recommended | |
|---|---|---|
| Memory | 16 GB RAM | 16 GB RAM |
| Graphics (1080p) | GTX 1060 6 GB / RX 480 | RTX 2060 Super / RX 5700 XT |
| Storage | 40 GB | 40 GB |
For context, the original Switch has 4 GB of RAM in total, shared between the system and the game, and 32 GB of internal storage on the base model. Switch 2 is a substantial step up but is still a handheld, not a desktop GPU.
What this does and does not tell you:
- It does not mean a port is impossible. Ports routinely cut resolution, texture quality, draw distance and simulation detail to fit. Games with far heavier PC requirements than this have shipped on Switch
- It does mean a port would be real engineering work, not a recompile. That matters for expectations: this is not the kind of thing a small team does casually mid-Early-Access
⚠️ We are not going to tell you it "definitely can't run" — we do not know what the developer would be willing to cut, and neither does anyone else outside the studio.
Handheld options that work today
If what you actually want is to play this on a handheld, that is available now — just not on Nintendo hardware.
Steam Deck: rated Playable by Valve. Not Verified. It runs, with three specific caveats Valve flagged, and one of them matters a lot for this game: some interface text is not legible at the Deck's native resolution. Pax Autocratica is half colony-management sim, and that half lives in dense tables and tooltips.
Full detail, including the other two caveats, is on Platforms and Steam Deck.
Windows handhelds (ROG Ally and similar) are ordinary PCs — check them against System Requirements the same way you would a laptop.
Practical read: combat expeditions play fine on a handheld. Long base-management sessions are where small text and small screens start to hurt.
If a Switch is the only machine you own
The game is not currently available to you, and of the three consoles this is the one where a port would be the biggest lift.
The realistic move is to follow the game on Steam and watch for the Early Access exit — see Roadmap, which also explains why there is no 1.0 date yet.
We are not going to point you at a "close enough" Switch game. A totalitarian colony sim welded to a first-person roguelite is a specific combination, and recommending a substitute we have not verified would be guessing with your money.
FAQ
Is it coming to Switch 2?
Unannounced. Nothing has been said about any Nintendo platform.
Would it run docked only?
There is no Switch version, so there is nothing to answer here. The question would only become real if a port were announced.
Can I stream it to my Switch from my PC?
Not through any official Nintendo feature. Nintendo does not offer PC game streaming to Switch the way Steam offers Remote Play between PCs.
Is there a cloud version?
No. Some Switch games ship as cloud versions in certain regions; that requires a publisher deal, and none exists here.
What about Steam Deck instead?
That works today, at a Playable rating with caveats. See Platforms and Steam Deck.
