Is Pax Autocratica on PS5? Official Answer

Pax Autocratica is not on PS5 and no version has been announced. Here is what the developer has actually said, and what PlayStation players can do today.

No. Pax Autocratica is not on PS5, and no PlayStation version has been announced. It is a Windows PC exclusive sold only on Steam.

That covers PS4 too — there is no PlayStation release of any kind, and none has been mentioned by the developer at any point.

Has Multiverse said anything about PlayStation?

Nothing. Not once.

That is a stronger statement than it sounds, because this developer talks a lot. Since January 2026 they have published around thirty Steam announcements, including a full roadmap at Early Access launch and a post three days later listing their own known problems. Across all of it, consoles have never come up.

What that means, and what it does not:

  • It means there is no announced PS5 version, no date, and no "we're looking into it" statement to point at
  • It does not mean a PS5 version has been ruled out. Silence is silence. Nobody has said no either

If a console version is ever announced, it will appear on the Steam news feed first — see Update History for how the developer publishes news.

What usually has to happen first

Worth understanding so you know what to watch for, rather than checking this page every week.

Pax Autocratica is in Early Access, which the developer describes as an unfinished game still taking shape from player feedback. Studios generally do not commit to console certification while core systems are still being rewritten — and this one has already changed capture mechanics, soldier aging and save handling in its first week.

So the realistic sequence is: 1.0 first, console conversation second. And there is no 1.0 date — see Roadmap.

The signal to watch is not a PS5 announcement. It is the Early Access exit.

Playing it on PlayStation hardware today

You cannot run the game on a PS5. But if you own PlayStation hardware and a PC, two things are worth knowing:

Your DualSense controller works on PC. Steam lists Pax Autocratica with full controller support, and specifically with DualSense and DualShock controller support. Plug the pad you already own into your PC and it works — including on-screen glyphs matching your controller.

PS Remote Play does not help here. Remote Play streams games from a PlayStation to another device. Since there is no PlayStation version, there is nothing to stream. Streaming to a PS5 from a PC is not a feature Sony offers.

If a PS5 is the only machine you own

Then this game is not currently available to you, and no amount of waiting is guaranteed to change that.

Two honest options:

  1. Wait for the Early Access exit and see whether consoles get mentioned then. Following the game on Steam costs nothing and is the fastest way to hear about it
  2. Look at what your PC options actually are. The game's floor is a GTX 1060 and 16 GB of RAM — see System Requirements. It also runs on Steam Deck at a Playable rating, which is a handheld PC rather than a console. Details on Platforms and Steam Deck

What this page will not do is tell you that a similar game on PS5 is "basically the same". Pax Autocratica's specific combination — a totalitarian colony sim welded to a first-person roguelite — does not have an obvious console equivalent, and pretending otherwise would waste your money rather than save it.

FAQ

Is there a PS4 version?

No. No PlayStation version of any generation exists or has been announced.

Will saves transfer if a PS5 version comes out?

Unanswerable today — there is no console version to transfer to, and no cross-progression system has been described. The game does use Steam Cloud on PC, which syncs saves between PCs on the same Steam account.

Can I play it with PS Plus?

No. It is not on PlayStation at all, so no PlayStation subscription includes it.

Is it coming to PS5 at 1.0?

Unannounced. There is no 1.0 date either — see Roadmap.

Does my DualSense work if I buy it on PC?

Yes. Steam lists both DualSense and DualShock controller support, with full controller support overall.
