Pax Autocratica

Is Pax Autocratica on Xbox or Game Pass?

Pax Autocratica is not on Xbox and not on Game Pass. Here is what has actually been said, and why the Xbox app on PC confuses this question.

No. Pax Autocratica is not on Xbox Series X|S, not on Xbox One, and not on Game Pass. It is a Windows PC exclusive sold only on Steam.

Has Multiverse said anything about Xbox?

No. Consoles have never been mentioned.

The developer has published around thirty Steam announcements since January 2026, including an Early Access roadmap and a candid post about their own known problems. Xbox has not come up in any of them.

As with PlayStation, read that precisely: no announced version is not the same as ruled out. Nobody has said no. Nobody has said yes either.

Is Pax Autocratica on Game Pass?

No. And this is worth treating as a separate question, because "is it on Game Pass" and "is there an Xbox version" have different answers for a lot of games — plenty of PC-only titles land on PC Game Pass without any console release.

Neither applies here. Pax Autocratica is sold on Steam only, at $29.99 with a temporary 17% launch discount. It is not on PC Game Pass, not on console Game Pass, and no subscription deal has been announced.

If that changes, it would normally be announced by the developer alongside Microsoft. See Update History for where their news appears first.

The Xbox app confusion, cleared up

This trips people up often enough to be worth spelling out, because searching for "Pax Autocratica Microsoft Store" or "Pax Autocratica Xbox app" turns up nothing useful.

Three different things share the Xbox name:

What it is Does it have Pax Autocratica?
Xbox consoles (Series X|S, Xbox One) No
Xbox app / Microsoft Store on Windows — a PC storefront No. The game is Steam-only
Game Pass (either tier) No

A game being buyable in the Xbox app on Windows would mean it has a PC version sold through Microsoft, not that it runs on a console. For Pax Autocratica the answer is "no" in all three cases anyway — Steam is the only place it is sold.

Playing it with Xbox hardware today

Your Xbox controller works on PC. Steam lists Pax Autocratica with full controller support. An Xbox pad plugged into a Windows PC is the most standard controller setup there is, and it works here.

Xbox Cloud Gaming does not help. Cloud streaming only serves games that exist in the Xbox catalogue. This one is not in it, so there is nothing to stream.

Remote Play from PC to Xbox is not a thing. Microsoft's remote play streams from your Xbox to another device, not the other way around.

If an Xbox is the only machine you own

The game is not currently available to you.

Two honest options:

  1. Follow it on Steam and watch for the Early Access exit. Console conversations, if they happen at all, tend to come after 1.0 — and there is no 1.0 date yet, see Roadmap
  2. Check what PC hardware would actually cost you. The floor is a GTX 1060 and 16 GB of RAM — see System Requirements. Steam Deck also runs it at a Playable rating; that is a handheld PC, not a console. See Platforms and Steam Deck

FAQ

Is it on Xbox One?

No. No Xbox version of any generation exists or has been announced.

Will it come to Game Pass later?

Unannounced. Nothing has been said in either direction.

Can I buy it in the Microsoft Store on Windows?

No. Steam is the only storefront. See Price and Demo.

Does my Xbox controller work if I buy it on PC?

Yes — Steam lists full controller support.

Is there cross-save between PC and a future Xbox version?

There is no Xbox version, so there is nothing to sync with. On PC the game uses Steam Cloud, which syncs saves between PCs on the same Steam account.
