Your first reliable route is Titanite → repaired Command Center → researched blueprint → constructed building. Follow that chain before roaming for optional objectives. It turns the ruined base into a place where you can unlock facilities and gives every later system somewhere to connect.

Before you start

The opening tutorial places usable Titanite near the base. Your assistant can be ordered to mine it, and you can mine resource nodes yourself. Walk close to the scattered pieces to collect them automatically. The tutorial also explains that a Resource Transfer Station can later let soldiers collect scattered material, but you do not need that station for the first repair.

Follow the opening chain

  1. Issue the opening mining order so your first worker starts collecting Titanite.

  2. Mine a nearby Titanite node yourself and move over the dropped pieces.

The tutorial asks the player to issue a mining order to the assistant.

The opening objective asks you to give your assistant a mining order.

  3. Return to the Command Center when the objective updates. The repair prompt in the Early Access launch build requires 4 Titanite; hold the displayed repair input until the building becomes operational.

The Command Center repair objective shows zero of four Titanite and the repair input.

The repair screen counts your Titanite toward the four the repair needs.

  4. Open the Command Center. This is where building technologies are researched and blueprints are unlocked.

  5. Research the Barracks blueprint. It costs 27 research points in the launch build, and the research has to finish before construction becomes available.

The Barracks research panel shows 27 required research points.

The Barracks research panel lists the 27 research points it requires.

  6. Enter construction mode and place the Barracks. The tutorial says proper quarters protect soldiers from the cold at night and help keep them in good condition.

A completed Barracks stands beside the Command Center.

With the Barracks standing beside the Command Center, the tutorial moves on toward the first expedition.

The exact resource and research costs above describe the Early Access launch build, not promises that a later patch will keep the same values.

What to do after the Barracks

Do not research every visible blueprint at once. Let the next problem choose the next building:

  • Captives waiting after an expedition tell you that the Prison is the next system to solve.
  • Soldiers without meals point you toward the food supply chain.
  • Slow manual collection points you toward the resource technology explained in Titanite and Resources.
  • A field run that is becoming dangerous points you toward the Expeditions guide.

Common first-hour mistakes

Leaving before the Command Center works. Until it is repaired, the tutorial's blueprint chain is still blocked.

Waiting for one worker to do everything. The opening explicitly allows the leader to mine Titanite manually. Helping is the fastest way to finish the first repair.

Treating research as instant. Research completes over time, and a worker can be assigned to it at the Command Center rather than a blueprint appearing the moment you select it.

Building for a system you have not reached. A Prison does nothing for the opening repair, while a Food Hall does not replace sleeping quarters. Build in response to the tutorial chain you are actually on.

First-hour checkpoint

You are ready to move on when the Command Center is operational, at least one blueprint has completed research, and the corresponding building exists at the base. Return to the Beginner Guide for the full list, then read Command Center before committing research time to several facilities.

FAQ

Can I mine the first Titanite myself?

Yes. The tutorial explicitly says the leader can mine nearby nodes and collects scattered resources by moving close to them.

How much Titanite does the Command Center repair need?

Four in the Early Access launch build. Treat it as a launch-build figure, because Early Access balance can still change.

Which blueprint should I research first?

The tutorial directs you to the Barracks after repairing the Command Center. That is the opening route the game itself sets out.
