Titanite and Resources in Pax Autocratica

Learn how the opening Titanite loop works, how dropped resources are collected, and when automation becomes available. Numeric rules and mistakes included.

Titanite is the material that starts the base-building loop. The opening tutorial uses nearby Titanite to repair the Command Center, after which researched buildings turn raw collection into an organized base economy.

What it is

Titanite appears at resource nodes near the starting base. Mining breaks the resource into pieces scattered on the surface, and the leader collects those pieces automatically by moving close to them.

How to unlock it

No separate blueprint is needed for the first Titanite node. The opening objective finds usable resources near the base and asks you to issue a mining order. Later, the Command Center database exposes construction technology for the Resource Transfer Station, which is the step toward automated collection.

How to operate it

Assign a soldier to a resource node, then mine alongside that worker when you need the opening repair quickly. Move over the scattered output instead of waiting beside the node. Once the Resource Transfer Station has been researched, built, and staffed, soldiers can collect and transport resources that would otherwise remain scattered.

Numeric rules

The Command Center repair costs 4 Titanite in the Early Access launch build. There is no published yield per node, mining speed, or permanent price table, so this guide does not supply those numbers.

Common mistakes

  • Leaving mined pieces on the ground instead of walking close enough to collect them.
  • Waiting for the first worker when the leader can mine the same opening resource.
  • Expecting the Resource Transfer Station before the Command Center has been repaired and its technology researched.
  • Treating the launch repair cost as guaranteed across future Early Access patches.

When to use it or avoid it

Mine manually when a small amount of Titanite is the only thing blocking a repair or construction task. Shift toward staffed collection once repeated manual trips are keeping you from research, food, captives, or expeditions. There is no evidence that ignoring every other base need to stockpile Titanite is a better opening strategy.

FAQ

Do I have to wait for a worker to mine Titanite?

No. The tutorial explicitly allows the leader to mine resource nodes manually.

Why are mined resources still on the ground?

The opening tutorial says scattered resources are collected automatically when the leader moves close to them. Later automation requires a Resource Transfer Station and assigned soldiers.

Is Titanite only used for the Command Center?

The opening repair is its first confirmed use. There is no complete, stable cost table for every later building, so this page does not claim one.
