Pax Autocratica Roadmap: What the Developer Plans Next

What Multiverse has committed to for Pax Autocratica, why there is no 1.0 date, and which known problems the team has publicly admitted to. Source-checked.

This page covers what Pax Autocratica is going to do next. For what has already shipped, see Update History.

Short version: a roadmap exists, it is published as a picture rather than text, no 1.0 date has been given, and the developer has been unusually direct about what is currently broken.

What the developer plans next

A roadmap was published in the Early Access launch announcement on August 10, with an explicit caveat attached:

"These plans are not immutable. The exact content we develop, as well as the order in which it is deployed, may be adjusted according to what we learn from the field."

Two things you should know about that roadmap:

  1. It is published as an image, not text. There is no machine-readable list of milestones anywhere, which is why this page does not reproduce it as a table. No amount of searching Steam's text will surface those items — you have to open the launch announcement and look at the picture
  2. It covers game content, not platforms. Nothing in it addresses consoles. See PS5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch

When is Pax Autocratica 1.0?

No date has been given. The developer has published neither an Early Access duration nor a target for the full release.

Steam asks developers to estimate this on the store page, but estimates there are routinely missed across the platform, and treating one as a promise sets you up for disappointment. The honest answer today is: unannounced.

What has already shipped from the plan

On August 13 the developer published a post listing changes that came directly from player reports in the first three days:

  • A toggle for Soldier Aging
  • Automatic save backups, to protect saves after crashes and freezes
  • The ability to Exile soldiers, not just captives
  • Manual quantity selection when depositing items into buildings
  • The ability to rename Special Creator Soldiers

All of those landed in Directive AG-12. The details are on Update History.

Problems the developer has admitted to

This is the part most wikis leave out, and it is the most useful thing on this page. The August 13 post named the team's own priority list — these are open problems, not fixed ones:

Known problem Status as stated
Capture and prisoner conversion "lack depth and can feel frustrating" High priority, work in progress
Expeditions and battles "can become repetitive" Variety, pacing and rewards to be improved; grind to be reduced

Directive AG-14 on August 15 made a first pass at the capture complaint — new capture rounds and a grace period after a failed attempt. Whether that counts as addressing "lack of depth" is a judgement call, and the developer has not declared it finished.

Nothing has been publicly delayed or walked back so far. If that changes, it will be recorded here.

How the developer works

Worth knowing, because it tells you how much weight to put on your own bug report:

  • They cite player feedback in patch notes. The August 12 post lists changes made "based on battlefield reports from multiple Leaders"
  • They post follow-ups about open problems. The August 13 post exists purely to say "here is what we know is still bad"
  • They name three intake channels: the in-game feedback tool, the Steam forums, and community channels

A developer who publishes a "here is what is still broken" post three days after launch is not the norm. See Official Links for where to file.

Which of our pages go stale on a patch

Early Access balance moves. These pages carry numbers a patch can invalidate:

Page What can change
System Requirements Specs were published at launch; optimisation patches can move the real floor
Crashes and Fixes Bugs listed there may already be fixed — check dates against Update History
Price and Demo The 17% launch discount is temporary
Capture and Prisoners The developer has called this system a work in progress; AG-14 already changed it

Every page on this wiki carries a Last verified date at the top. If a number here disagrees with your game, trust your game and check that date.
