The early food chain is research Food Hall → build it → put food in its storage → assign ingredient gathering. A finished hall without stored food does not give soldiers anything to eat.

What it is

The Food Hall is where soldiers go to eat. It is the first building used to secure the base's food supply.

How to unlock it

Research the Food Hall construction blueprint at the Command Center, wait for that research to complete, and place the building in construction mode. Its research cost is not published as a stable figure, so this guide does not state one.

How to operate it

After construction, place food in the building's food storage. Basic ingredients grow around the base and can satisfy hunger without processing. Soldiers can be assigned to gather those ingredients in the same way the opening worker was assigned to mine ore.

Expeditions can also provide higher-quality vegetables and meats. Bring those supplies home instead of treating every field pickup as an immediate combat item.

Numeric rules

There is no published meal interval, storage maximum, or daily consumption formula for this building. Some food production happens in batches of ten portions, but that does not extend to a general rule for all food buildings, so it is not used as one here.
